Auki Henry Photography started out as a secondary by-product from my interest in video capable DSLR's. Wanting to indulge my interest in cinematic 'looks' for some of the motion projects I was working on I invested in Canon's variable frame rate capable 7D and began to experiment as the techniques for filming DSLR are a lot different to shooting with camera's dedicated to video.
Inevitably I made the transition to stills photography because the equipment was available to do so. I have also been fortunate enough to have the ongoing mentoring and encouragement of friends who are already well known and established in their fields such as experienced glamour photographer Mark Hamilton and aviation/action specialist Martin Eadie.
I found a passion and a local niche for people photography and have worked with musicians, bands, and models from around Australia.
