HighRPM deployed a team to Black Jungle, just south of Darwin, Australia, this past weekend to document the grueling four-hour Kamfari. This event is recognized as one of the most challenging motorcycle endurance races on the Australian calendar, testing both rider and machine to their limits.
The Kamfari’s demanding nature presents unique logistical challenges for media coverage. Factors such as the extended track length, unforgiving terrain, and intense tropical heat make positioning cameras at prime locations difficult. To ensure comprehensive coverage and capture the event’s intensity, our crew maintained a camera on the track at all times, immersing viewers in the heart of the action.
To supplement this ground-level perspective and provide a broader view of the race, aerial photography was essential. The following is a brief behind-the-scenes peek of an aerial photography sortie with Heather Banham and Katie Abraham, who accompanied me to capture a bird's-eye view of the Kamfari.
