Aussie teen pop-rock sensations "Lights Out" |
From the sun-drenched shores of Australia comes a burst of pure energy, a four-piece band ready to re-ignite the pop-punk scene: Lights Out. Kai Riley, brothers Finn & Jed Carter, and Taj Miller are about to drop their debut single, "Tonight," a high-octane anthem guaranteed to get your adrenaline pumping. But who are these guys, and how did they come together to create such a contagious sound?
The story of Lights Out begins in the Western Sydney suburb of Campbelltown. Brothers Finn and Jed Carter, inseparable since childhood, bonded over their shared love for music. Inspired by the raw energy of Sum 41 and the infectious melodies of 5 Seconds of Summer, they dreamt of forming a band that could capture the spirit of their youth. Finn, with his blistering guitar riffs, and Jed, laying down the thunderous basslines, were the core of the nascent group.
Enter Kai Riley. A natural frontman with a voice that could both soar and snarl, Kai was the perfect fit to complete their sound. His passion for music matched theirs, and his stage presence was undeniable. The trio quickly gelled, spending hours jamming in Finn and Jed's garage, honing their sound and writing songs that reflected their experiences: the freedom of summer nights, the frustrations of school, and the pure joy of hanging out with mates.
The final piece of the puzzle was Taj Miller. A powerhouse drummer with a knack for driving rhythms, Taj brought the explosive energy that Lights Out needed to truly ignite. His drumming style, a mix of precision and raw power, perfectly complemented the band's dynamic sound.
With the line-up complete, Lights Out began to make a name for themselves playing local gigs and building a dedicated following. Their high-energy performances and catchy songs quickly won them over, and it wasn't long before they caught the attention of local indie producer Eamon Hanes who would then play a crucial role in shaping Lights Out's sound and getting the band's catchy track "Tonight" ready for release
Now, Lights Out is ready to unleash their debut single, "Tonight," upon the world. A party anthem in the truest sense, "Tonight" captures the feeling of letting loose and embracing the moment. With its driving guitars, infectious chorus, and lyrics that resonate with anyone who's ever wanted to escape the everyday, "Tonight" is set to become the soundtrack to countless parties and summer nights.
